Fly into Malé (MLE). From there, seaplane (20–45 min) or speedboat transfers to outer atoll surf resorts. Pasta Point/Chickens area is accessible via Cinnamon Dhonveli Resort or by day trip. Book resort transfers in advance — seaplanes only fly during daylight.

The most famous Maldives wave. Long, consistent left-hander with sections from fun to hollow. Cinnamon Dhonveli has exclusive access rights — stay there for priority, or day trip from Malé.
Mellow right-hander. More forgiving than Pasta. Good for surfers progressing to reef breaks. Rarely huge but very consistent.
Hollow, fast right. Gets powerful on bigger swells. South Malé Atoll resorts run day trips.

About Malé Atoll Surfing
The Maldives offers a unique combination of world-class surf and world-class luxury that exists nowhere else on earth. The main surf zone is in North Malé Atoll — Pasta Point (a private resort break at Cinnamon Dhonveli), Cokes (Chickens), Jailbreaks, and Lohis. The surf season runs February to November, peaking April to October when Indian Ocean swells push through the atolls. Most surf camps and resort access are managed through surf guides and boat trips from Malé or resort speedboats. The Maldives suits intermediate to advanced surfers — fast, powerful, reef-breaking waves that reward experience. Between sessions, the snorkelling, diving, and resort experiences are unmatched.
Cinnamon Dhonveli (direct access to Pasta Point from your overwater bungalow, $400–800/night). Six Senses Laamu, Soneva Jani — ultra-luxury + surf guide packages. The Maldives is the most naturally "luxury surf" destination in Asia.
Budget Maldives surf is a relative term. Live-aboard surf charter boats offer the best value ($150–250/person/day for a full-boat charter). North Malé Atoll guesthouses on local islands ($60–100/night) with boat trips to breaks are the budget entry point.

Maldives surf camps are either resort-based (Dhonveli, Centara, Sun Siyam Iru Veli) or live-aboard charters. Surf charters covering multiple atolls are run by operators like Tropicsurf, Helisurf, and Nomad Surf Charters. Guide-to-surfer ratios are high and safety standards strong.
