About Sentosa Island
Sentosa Island is Singapore's playground — a resort island connected to the southern tip of the city by a short causeway, boardwalk, and cable car. What was once a British military base has been transformed into Southeast Asia's premier leisure destination, drawing over 20 million visitors annually to its theme parks, beaches, hotels, and casinos.
The island's centrepiece is Resorts World Sentosa, a sprawling integrated resort featuring Universal Studios Singapore — the only Universal theme park in Southeast Asia. The resort also contains the S.E.A. Aquarium (one of the world's largest), Adventure Cove Waterpark, and a casino. The Hard Rock Hotel, Equarius Hotel, and Beach Villas provide a range of accommodation styles within the resort.
Beyond Resorts World, Sentosa offers three connected beaches (Siloso, Palawan, Tanjong), the Sentosa Cable Car linking the island to Mount Faber on the mainland, iFly indoor skydiving, Mega Adventure zip-lining, and a host of restaurants and beach clubs. Siloso Beach is the liveliest, with beach bars and events. The Boardwalk entry from VivoCity mall makes the island very accessible from the HarbourFront MRT station.
